not YOUR GRANDMA'S CRAFTSALE

Not Your Grandma's Spring Craft Sale hits Mothers Day weekend

Ottawa – Ladyfest Ottawa, in collaboration with punkottawa.com, presents a craft sale like no other. Featuring the hip, unique work of local artists and crafters, Not Your Grandma's Spring Craft Sale takes place May 12, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Jack Purcell Community Centre.

Those looking to flee the mall to find hip and unique handmade gifts have made this craft sale an anticipated event. Not Your Grandma's Craft Sale is an edgy, DIY twist on the traditional craft bazaar. From handmade purses and accessories to silk-screened t-shirts and underwear, modernist toys to tattoo-themed baby clothes, this craft sale is a great source for one-of-a-kind gifts. It’s a perfect opportunity to spend some quality time with mom or grab an unusual last-minute gift.

Ladyfest Ottawa and punkottawa.com continue their tradition of supporting DIY talent in Ottawa, partnering on music events and craft sales that fit the both their mandates.

Ladyfest Ottawa is part of a tradition of grassroots-organized festivals showcasing the talents of female artists. Now in its fifth year, Ladyfest Ottawa strives to build relationships and collaborations with local artists and businesses, in order to provide women with a venue for artistic expression that is open to everyone. More info on Ladyfest Ottawa and the craft sale can be found at www.ladyfestottawa.com.

Also since 2001, punkottawa.com has provided resources and a virtual gathering place for the local underground/DIY community, not only catering to music, but also activism and social change.

yay! I am totally not ready yet (my studio is a craft disaster), but I'm still excited. Are you going to be a vendor, or a visitor this time around?
