Another Birthday Girl!

Right after the female llama was shorn, Fiesta, an alpaca, dropped this little cria into the group. Here, Leslie welcomes the new cria to the farm. Fiesta was up next and the owners of the farm suspect she didn't want to go through a shearing while pregnant. She ended up being the last female sheared before we broke for lunch. I've got to get that conjugated verb right... to shear

Alas, no fibre. And that is alright with me. I figure the River Bend Fibre Company is young and they need all the fibre they can sell. I'll probably visit their store in a few weeks and see if I can buy some. I would rather support them that way.

Laura! I wasn't expecting you to post Clover and I up on the blog! What a surprise! And what a day that was. I love the fact that the baby and I share a birthday! It was a long day. So many alapas plus a couple of llamas to shear. I hope it was as much a great experience for you as it was for me. I know Ann, Leslie and Colin really appreciated our help that day. I look forward to spending time at the farm again someday! I love it there.
